There and Back Again

From Sedona to Scotland my travels have influenced my work by inspiring respect for these places, whether carved by forces of nature or forged by man.

In the wilderness nature is the art of shadows and cracks of rocks cooled by a dark sky. At other times, it is brilliant colors such as red iron-rich soil complimented by sunlight and a royal blue sky.

My work also illustrates man’s creations. In this genre, the theme is focused on monuments with tributes toward God, our ancestors, historical figures, war monuments, architecture, and technology.

The war monuments in particular carry with them tributes to man’s extraordinary bravery while overcoming extreme hardship. These icons are reminders of man’s inhumanity to man and should be reflected on by future generations to help resolve conflicts.
